Last week, Rep. Jahana Hayes (CT-05) announced that she would be running for a fourth term in Congress. In her announcement, she stated that, “I did what you wanted me to do…”. Is Jahana Hayes implying that she thinks she did what her constituents wanted her to do?
We can say confidently that her constituents did not want her to:
- Vote to block veterans’ funding
- Refuse to condemn antisemitism
- Vote against stopping the trafficking of fentanyl
- Push for rising gas prices
The truth is Jahana Hayes did exactly what her party bosses wanted her to do. And that’s why she’s running for Congress once again. But this time, Connecticut voters must reject her.
“Jahana Hayes is an extreme Democrat who backs the worst fringes of her party. Instead of putting Connecticut families first, she sides with her party bosses to push for an anti-American agenda,” said NRCC Spokeswoman Savannah Viar.
